I remember my neighbour had a pet hamster…her name was Dutchess and she was adorable but she peed on me when I was carrying her!
I currently have two rescue pets– a cat named Alice and a dog named Oliver. Oliver used to be a street dog in the Dominican Republic. He survived for about three years on his own before we adopted him.

I love how hamsters look when their cheek pouches are all full! I wonder if it is easier than carrying a backpack?
